• Bring copies of your pet's medical records that we can keep for our records.

• Bring radiographs (x-rays) your regular veterinarian has taken for our review. These radiographs will be returned to you at the completion of your appointment.

• Allow 3 hours for your appointment. You will be asked to stay on-site so you can participate with the appointment.

• Do not feed your pet 12 hours before the appointment, but you can offer water up until the time of the appointment. By fasting your pet, this will allow us to do necessary diagnostic testing, i.e. blood work, ultrasound, etc.  NOTE: If your pet is a diabetic, please do not withhold food or water prior to the appointment.

Refer to our Directions page for directions, or contact our office coordinators at 703-330-8809.

If you need to cancel a future appointment, please provide a minimum of 24 hours notice or there will be a $50.00 cancellation fee.

We look forward to meeting you and your furry companion!

What does it cost?

Please review our cost and payment information page for details.

What to expect at your first appointment

During your initial appointment, the veterinary internist will examine your pet, obtain a detailed history from you, review any medical records, laboratory results and radiographs (x-rays) from your family veterinarian, and evaluate current and recent medications. After completing this, the specialist will offer you a plan of diagnostic testing with an estimate of costs. After discussion and approval by you, the diagnostic testing and any indicated treatment can begin.
